The name of the hotel has its origin in the “Säumern”, the traders, which built the bridge between the commerce of Southern and Northern Europe. On their long and burdensome ways, they often recovered in the taverns nearby their route. Our hotel and the chalet were built in the 17th and 18th centuries.

It is almost as if you were to witness the history of Switzerland.
The special aura of the region still embeds the area of the Saeumertaverne, which is cultivated with love and passion till this day.
