A warm welcome to the website of the Säumertaverne in the Bernese Oberland, a place of tranquillity and romance nestled in the Jungfrau Region, between the villages of Interlaken and Grindelwald. Easy to reach, yet idyllic and private, the Säumertaverne in Gündlischwand is typically Swiss- authentic, romantic and memorable.

From 10 December 2009 onwards, we will pamper food lovers with genuine Swiss hospitality every day from 16.00, except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when our restaurant is closed. During the festive season, from 21 December – 3 January, we will be open to serve you every day except 24 December.

Celebrate New Year´s Eve with us in a unique winter setting and enjoy the many delicious and varied specialities of our extensive Farmer´s Buffet (reservations required).

The Säumertaverne´s unique mix of mountain lodge, romance, and modern flair make it an unforgettable place. It is a gourmet paradise where countless culinary delights await. Enjoy tasty dishes such as expertly grilled meats and delicious cheese specialities, all rounded off by a fine selection of wines and expertly served by a young and dynamic team!
